Black Mint

I had never eaten Huacatay mint before but it sounded interesting so I got a small packet of seeds and we started them under the grow lights and we got 8 plants. We put 4 outside and up potted 4 inside and the ones inside did great. Then we moved them outside when they got big and they did great. They spread out and up and we got a couple good harvests from them. The last harvest we cut them almost all the way down and hung up to dry the 55" stems covered in leaves. So we have plenty of very tasty dried spice this year!

The part of the plant we left has lasted through a frost and many nights of 40 degrees!
